Apparently, the whole thing was an elaborate set-up by Walküre and Chaos to bring out Freyja's true potential. Even the Vár Syndrome "victim" was a just a mechanic outfitted with special effects makeup and gear.[2]

Freyja was with Kaname as they fled the battlefield, a couple of missiles hot on their heels. Kaname pushed her away just in time and under this high-stress situation, Freyja was finally able to land smoothly with her gas-jet clusters. Relief was brief however, as she came face-to-face with a VF-171 that had a Vár-infected NUNS pilot, which Hayate shoves aside before a shot was taken. Both had no choice but to hold their position, as the berserker was relentless.

The Death Saurer first appeared in Zoids: Chaotic Century, as a major part of the central plot of the series. It is depicted as an extraordinarily evil Zoid with a will of its own, and is able to possess the Imperial regent, Gunther Prozen, who then sought to revive the Death Saurer by secretly using Raven to collect Zoid Cores.
