The most effective way to make sure your extended essay is ready on time is to follow the guide that is provided and do all of the assigned reading before you begin. This way, the information you already know about the topic will help you at the beginning of your extended essay writing process. This way, you will be ready to answer questions about the topic when your advisor gives you questions to answer. This also gives you a better understanding of the topic because you have seen it from different angles.
It can be a bit of a headache to choose what kind of extended essay to write. One of the biggest decisions that you must make when you are starting to write your extended essay is the topic. It can be a really tough decision as there are many different topics you can use. The best way to choose a topic is to choose the one that you can spend the most time on. You want to choose a topic that will get you the most time to study it.
The same advice that I gave earlier in this post about the various parts of an extended essay is true for all other parts of the essay. It is important to know the structure that you should use for your essay. For example, you should write at least a title page and an abstract. Before you begin to write, you need to know what the purpose of your essay is. That will help you decide what information you need to provide and what you do not need to provide. Without a clear purpose of your essay, you will not be able to write a good essay.
The first thing to do when you are deciding what your extended essay topic is, is to write down a list of all the topics that you can think of. This is because you will most likely not be able to choose just one topic to write about. You might have a topic that you are most interested in, but then you will have to choose between other topics.
Your extended essay topic should be relevant and interesting enough for you to want to write about it, and for your reader to want to read it. It should also be something that is not covered in your course syllabus or is part of your coursework. It should be something that is not too easy or too hard for you to write about. Make sure that it is not something that you do not understand or have enough knowledge about.
I was studying English literature with IB but now I've changed to IB Humanities. As such there is no IB Extended Essay as of yet but I'm guessing that it'll take me around four months (time to complete the IB Humanities Extended Essay would be around 4-5 months) to finish. My advice is to start off by spending a few hours a day doing your additional research. This will help narrow down your topic, minimise the amount of time you'll spend on your essay and give you a base to work off.
Each year we invite IB alumni to share their experiences, interests and advice with our global community in the graduate voices series. We welcome Diploma Programme (DP) graduate Lim Hui Yuan to share some tips and advice to DP students completing their extended essays after completing her DP education at Hwa Chong International School. 827ec27edc
