Slow startup, slow shutdown, poor battery life, and regular locking up of Safari, Thunderbird, Evernote, and other apps after upgrading my 2012 Mac Book Pro to Yosemite. Last ditch attempt to fix before reverting to 10.7.5 - which worked great BTW.
Again, I appreciate your time on this, but I think it's time to call this what it is: a broken Mac. I reached out to my Corporate IT & they declined to help, so unless I can find a way to go back to 10.7.5 without losing all my installed software, I'm f*cked. As is, this thing is nothing but an expensive paper weight.
Yeah, not going to happen. I have no installation media for anything on this Mac - it was configured by a vendor we no longer contract with - and my corporate IT group has already declined to help. Too bad, because I really enjoyed using this Mac (on 10.7.5 at least) but it is now a complete train wreck.

Update (Sept 2016): The Shockwave player has limited support in current browsers. As of September 2016 it is still possible to install and play Shockwave content on Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 or later and Firefox on Windows, and Safari on Mac OS 10.7 to 10.10.5. Please see Adobe Shockwave Requirements for the latest requirements. This document by Adobe explains how to enable the Shockwave player on various browsers. It appears to be out of date because it mentions support for Chrome, which does not work.

I have been a Flashplayer user for sometime using a iMac (using Osx version 10.7.5) and have been experiencing a lot of problems recently when trying to visit various sites e.g. BBC News, Tom Tom for upgrades. The website state I need to download the latest version of Flashplayer, which I then do and then once I have downloaded the latest version and click the prompt to revist the site I was on a) it doesn't take me back and b) when I go back to the same site it still saying I need to get the lastest version of FLashplayer! Annoying or what !! 153554b96e
